Karen Greenberg is
the mother of a child with Autism, and has been a public
speaker on special needs planning since 1993. She is
Director of Prosperity Life Planning, a not-for-profit
corporation dedicated to teaching families of disabled
children and adults ways to provide for a financially
comfortable quality of life, while preserving eligibility
for governmental entitlements, such as Medicaid and SSI.
She has an MBA in taxation and is a Certified Financial
Planner™. Karen also works as an independent accountant for
a number of small businesses and tax preparation for
individuals and businesses alike.
Jaret Vogel,
husband of Karen Greenberg, has worked in financial services
for 25 years. In addition to developing the outreach
of Prosperity Life Planning, he volunteers as Associate Director and
Special Needs Advisor, and helps implement solutions for
these families.
We work closely with several
attorneys who are specialists in elder law and special needs
planning. After a thorough needs analysis with the parents,
we join the family in their first meeting with
counsel to ensure good communication and sharing of ideas.
Our combined experiences in taxation, accounting, and financial planning lends itself very nicely to
working with "typical" as well as special needs families in
risk management and protecting families, as well as
budgeting, investments and estate planning.
In August of 2006, Prosperity
Life Planning was the recipient of a $25,000. grant from the
Certified Financial Planner™ Board of Standards, to expand
our outreach in the south Florida area to this unique
population.
Karen's home office is located
at 4673 Brady Boulevard, Delray Beach, FL 33445. She can be
